• What do you most enjoy about cricket?
    • The thrill of being outside and playing in the sun. Running up to bowl or standing on the crease ready to face the next delivery.
  • What are some of your personal goals this upcoming season?
    • Personal goal for this season is just to enjoy the time in the middle. And also on the field. Setting any numbers would take away from that and make it into a task.
  • Who is your favourite athlete and why?
    • Favourite would be Sachin Tendulkar. Just an idol of mine watching him on and off the field.
  • Through your time with Dolphins, what was you favourite inning?
    • To be honest I’m yet to have my favourite inning.
  • Which Dolphins player do you look up to, who motivates you to do better?
    • I would say Armaan. He’s a great young talent himself and he is already giving back so much to his own team along with maintaining his own game. Takes a lot to be so selfless at such a young age. Shows his class and maturity.
  • If you weren’t playing cricket right now, what would you be pursuing?
    • To be honest I never have an answer to this question. This is the only thing I picture myself doing when the summer weekends come around.

  • What do you most enjoy about cricket?
    • As a batsmen, its needless to say that the most enjoyable part about cricket for me is scoring as many runs as possible and helping my team win. I respect the game even more because it enhances your mental toughness. Cricket is 95% a mental game and playing it helps me on and off the field. All in all, one never really stops improving in cricket – it’s a continuous learning curve.
  • What are some of your personal goals this upcoming season?
    • A goal that I have been chasing since I’ve started playing cricket has been to hit my first 100. Hopefully with hard work and being in the right mindset, I can check this off my bucket list this season.
  • Who is your favourite athlete and why?
    • It’s a toss up between Virat Kohli and Muhammad Ali but I would have to lean towards the latter. Ali has always been a visionary and continuously believed in his craft. I think having self-belief is the biggest weapon any athlete can carry with them. He’s the one who taught me that no matter how crazy or insane your goals sound, as long as you believe in your ability to achieve them, there is no one or thing that can stop you. One of my favourite quotes from him is: “I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was.”
  • Through your time with Dolphins, what was you favourite inning?
    • I’ve only played 4 games for Dolphins so far so its premature to say but if I had to pick, it would be my 3rd game against Missi
ssauga Ramblers in the Elite division. The way I approached my innings in that game from ball 1 and structured my shot selection, it was a huge confidence booster for the coming games.
  • Which Dolphins player do you look up to, who motivates you to do better?
    • Without a doubt Armaan Kapoor. Armaan and I have grown up together playing cricket since we were in middle school. Funny thing is, he’s the one who introduced me to hard ball cricket at the age of 16. The reason I look up to him is because of the tremendous change I’ve seen in him as a player and person for the past 10 years. If someone needs to learn discipline, mental toughness and the art of batting, Armaan is the go-to guy. The amount of self-belief and confidence he carries with himself when stepping onto the cricket field is what sets him apart from the average. He’s truly the face of Mississauga Dolphins.
  • If you weren’t playing cricket right now, what would you be pursuing?
    • If not cricket, I’d be playing baseball.

  • What do you most enjoy about cricket?
    • It’s a team sport. Its an all round physical sport. Get to meet new people and learn new things every day.
  • What are some of your personal goals this upcoming season?
    • Hopefully I am able to play more games than last year. Also hopeful to pick up at least 20 wickets and get some runs off the bat as well.
  • Who is your favourite athlete and why?
    • MS Dhoni is my favourite Athlete. He is a brilliant leader. He is always calm on the field and I have never seen him abuse anyone or fight with the other team. Also he is the most successful captain for the Indian team.
  • Through your time with Dolphins, what was you favourite inning?
    • My favourite inning, actually there are 2 of them. Both T20. I had 79 Runs off 30 Balls in 1 game and the other game I made 144. We also won both games.
